The Church Council consists of the church officers, ministry board chairpersons, and committee chairpersons. Our Pastor and school principal serve as ex officio members. With prayerful guidance and faithful service, they function as a board of directors. The council meets the 3rd Monday of each month and serves as the decision-making body for all matters affecting the functions of the church including spiritual direction, long-range planning, and fiscal responsibility. Church Officers
- President: The legal officer of the church; presides over the church council following Robert’s Rules of Order.
- Vice President: Assumes the responsibility of the president in their absence and recruits the annual Nominating Team, which seeks candidates to replace exiting Council members
- Treasurer: Prepares monthly and year-to-date financial statements and all related tax reports.
- Secretary: Attends all Council meetings, records minutes, and keeps all ministry and committee reports.
- Financial Secretary: Records weekly offerings
Ministry Boards
- Elders: Assists Pastor in the spiritual care and nurturing of the congregation.
- Trustees: Oversees the maintenance of all church/school facilities.
- Evangelism: Plans ways to provide fellowship opportunities for new members, current members and the community
- Stewardship: Enlists the contributions of the congregant’s time, talents or money.
- Parish Education: Coordinates all aspects of Christian education within the church, for all age groups.
- Day School: Interfaces with council to involve and encourage church, parent, and community support of our educational program.
- Worship and Music: Recruits, teaches and assigns worship service assistants in addition to supporting Pastor and the Music director.
Committees
- Media Relations: Promotes church, school, and community events internally and externally through a variety of media.
- LWML: The Lutheran Women’s Missionary League is the official women’s auxiliary of The Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod. These mission minded women use their God-given talents to share the Gospel locally and worldwide.
