sundays- 11:30 A.M.
All of the elements described in our Traditional worship, as to their theological import, and the meaning of worship itself are all involved in the worship forms of this service, taking from what is handed down to us in the Theology of the Cross. Our Contemporary service flows from that. You will find the presence of the Invocation, the Confession and Absolution, the Homily (Sermon), the Creed, when there is Holy Communion (1st and 3rd Sundays) things like the Words of Institution, Prayers of the Church, the Lord’s Prayer, the Benediction, and of course singing praises to the Lord in thanksgiving for his gifts to us. The music we seek to use and incorporate have modern forms of instrumentation, and yet we strive that the theology of the lyrics are theologically correct, and Christocentric, and reflecting the Gottesdienst worship theology from the historical Church. The style and format in appearance is somewhat relaxed, but just as Sacred in our hearts and delivery. As Jesus came to people in their lives in time and place, we are bringing Jesus into the world, cognizant of its complex cultural milieu and 21st century pressures. This service can be a perfect time as well for families and their pressures of trying to get little ones ready early. We welcome you to this service, too. Contact pastor if you have any questions.
