Evangelism / Outreach Chair
As the Outreach Chair, I perform community outreach on behalf of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and School. I work with the board, and the church to strategize different ways to spread the word about God and the church while also helping the community. My job is to maintain a relationship between the church and the community. To coordinate fundraisers and programs that will increase attendance at church and spread information about the church. If you have any questions please let me know. I’m here to serve in any way that I can.
Social Concerns/Prayer
Trustees
As trustees, it is our responsibility to oversee the physical aspects of Good Shepherd Church and School such as property, equipment, and buildings. We coordinate with and liaison between the board church leadership, and the maintenance supervisor to help keep the church and school grounds safe and clean and make sure that all applicable laws and standards are met. We help make sure that we are good stewards of the property God has entrusted to the congregation.
Stewardship
Stewardship is simply the act of being a steward. In biblical times a steward was a respected person of high integrity entrusted with his master’s possessions. They were expected to manage their possessions following the master’s wishes. Since God created and still owns all we have, stewardship is recognizing God is the owner, and we are His managers. As managers, we are responsible for using God’s possessions to please Him. In many churches stewardship means the Annual Stewardship Campaign. It means filling out a pledge card to make a commitment to the annual budget of the church where we are a member. In some cases, the definition has been broadened to include a commitment of our time and talents so that we are not putting all our focus on money. Here at GSLC, we are driven by Building a strong foundation through Jesus Christ, loving and seeking to unite all with the Savior.
Youth Group Leader/Parish Education
Good Shepherd, Lutheran Church offers a faith-based youth group. We meet up every Wednesday at 5:30 PM.
This program is for fifth grade on up. There are many different activities we do, some include; outreach services for the public, we go on fun field trips, crafts, games, music, devotions, small groups that build life long friendships, praise and worship and even a huge trip out of state to go to camp. Joining youth services gives children community, building skills, and outlet for creativity, great for mental health and spiritual being. This opportunity offers your child a once in a lifetime experience to know Christ and experience Christ-like love and connections. Come join us to see what all the hype is about! We would love to have your child there!

Serve the LORD with gladness! (Psalm 100:2)
The Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd’s local LWML meets the second Saturday of each month, September through May. Meetings are held in the church fellowship hall and begin at 10 AM. The meeting includes a devotional Bible Study, a short business meeting, refreshments, and a Christian fellowship. All women of the church are invited and encouraged to join. We are currently contributing to the support of our Lutheran Seminary Student as well as other local, national, and global missions as the needs arise. Members are invited to attend the district Spring and Fall Rally to enjoy fellowship with other local LWML women. Our annual LWML fundraising dinner is a much-anticipated event for our church members…as is our monthly LWML Bake Sale. We encourage you to join us in serving the Lord with gladness!
School Board
The parochial school board of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and School has the responsibility to ensure policies and procedures are in place, it’s vital to the day-to-day operations. We have a robust system that creates a safe and pleasant facility for staff, faculty, and students alike. We strive to manage our work in a godly manner.
The school board meets regularly and is composed of a small dedicated group that voices their ideas and concerns freely. Due to the fact that it is few in number, our votes carry more significance and weight. As the chairperson, I see my role as a facilitator and work diligently to remove roadblocks and assist in any way we can to promote positive and timely outcomes.
The school board is committed to assuring we maintain our accreditation status, along with making smart informed decisions concerning finance and budgetary needs. The Good Shepherd Lutheran Church has had many hardships including the pandemic as well as Hurricane Ian, where many people lost everything, including loved ones. These events have brought out the worst and the best of us. Thankfully our faith in Lord Jesus and through the miracle of God, we have made an incredible recovery, and continue each and every day to improve. Furthermore, we are committed to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and School board and its staff, faculty, and students.
